I have been teaching since 2012 and my career has brought hundreds of amazing people into my life. I've taught both middle school and high school English, and middle school social studies. One of my favorite things about my job is helping my students find their passion for reading.

I've loved books since before I could even read. Raised in a family of avid readers, I poured over the covers of books my parents and siblings left around the house, waiting for the day when I could lose myself in the stories hidden within the pages. I've loved books since before I could even read. Raised in a family of avid readers, I poured over the covers of books my parents and siblings left around the house, waiting for the day when I could lose myself in the stories hidden within the pages. My dream of becoming a writer took root when I read "Little House in the Big Woods" and decided that I wanted to be like Laura Ingalls Wilder. Unfortunately, I was too afraid to follow my dream and let my fear take me on a different path. When I turned 40 in 2023, however, I decided that I could no longer ignore my passion for writing. My first novel, "The Spirits at the Storyteller," was finished in February of the following year, and I am currently working on the next 2 novels of the series.
